If you’re doing it as a business, or making a decent amount of profit at it, or selling a certain number of cars in a year, yes, you need a dealer license.

You’re acting like a dealer, making money like a dealer, why would you not need a license like a dealer?

If it’s a business you need a proper business license to operate legally.

Are you planning on fixing these cars or selling them as rebuildable wrecks? If you are fixing them how is a student going to come up with the capital needed to invest in the cost of repairs before the car is ready to sell.

If you are selling them as rebuildable wrecks how do you plan on competing effectively with the many salvage yards that are already doing this for a living.
